Brno weather is classified as moderate and is characterised by a sense of pleasantness that lingers on almost throughout the year. The second largest of the Czech Republic and the capital of the Moravian region, the city is located between the Bohemian-Moravian Hills and the Southern Moravian lowlands, its geographical positioning having an immense effect on weather in Brno with fine weather frequently intercepted by short spells when rain reigns supreme.

During the same period overnight frosts are common, making conditions even harsher. By the time spring rolls in, weather in Brno begins its steady ascent to significantly milder patterns, but those overnight frosts can occasionally still make an appearance and dampen what are generally fine days.
Even when Brno weather becomes too hard to handle for those unaccustomed to its peculiarities, the city is still a treasure chest filled with attractions to help while away the hours. Locals are renowned for their love of culture, and is therefore no surprise to discover that Brno is packed to the brim with museums and art galleries; although a few attractions are closed for the winter period, there is still enough to see and do.
